FIREFIGHTERS were called to an Indian restaurant when cast-iron guttering came crashing to the ground.

The incident happened at India Gate, Restaurant in Kingston Road, Fratton, shortly after midday today.

A crew from Southsea Fire Station went to the scene after part of the guttering fell to the ground and another part was left hanging perilously.

The firefighters used a ladder to reach the remaining guttering and bring it to the ground.

Some disruption was caused to the traffic.

Nobody was hurt in the incident.
