FIREFIGHTERS managed to get into the home of an elderly dementia sufferer who had got locked in.

The crew from Southsea station were called at 8.20pm last night to Woolmer Road, Fratton, by a neighbour of the 91-year-old woman.

Watch manager Jamie Wren said: ‘The neighbour had inadvertently locked the door from the inside. We managed to unlock it and the lady was fine.’
