FIREFIGHTERS from Southsea were called to The Harbour School in Tipner Lane to rescue a young boy who was stuck on the roof.

One engine was sent to the school after the call was received at 2pm yesterday.

The 10-year-old was still on the roof of the school when the fire crew arrived.

They used a ladder to get him down and left the school immediately afterwards.

Southsea Fire Station said there was no indication as to how or why the boy was on the roof and that no-one was injured.
