THE roof of a car was cut off so a
man could be rescued after his car hit a van.

The driver became trapped when his car was in collision with a van in London Road, by the junction of College Road, in Purbrook.

One crew from Havant and two from Cosham were sent to the incident, which happened at midday yesterday.

It took around 40 minutes for firefighters to remove the roof of the car and free the driver.

Both drivers went to Queen Alexandra Hospital in an ambulance.
