TWO bin fires happened in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Cosham firefighters were called to London Road, North End, Portsmouth, at 2.45am and again at 4am.

On both occasions a small pile of rubbish had been set alight.

No-one was injured and the causes of the fires are being investigated.

On the same night, firefighters were called to a garden blaze in Waterlooville.

A fence, garden furniture and a bin went up in flames in Athena Avenue at 1.30am.

One crew from Cosham fire station went to the house and put out the fire – the cause is unknown.

No-one was injured.
