A TENT caught fire outside the D-Day museum today.

Firefighters from Southsea station were called to the blaze at 2.22pm, off Clarence Esplanade, in Southsea.

One appliance and the small fires vehicle attended from Southsea fire station.

Staff at the museum said it did not cause any damage or affect it in any way.

There were no injuries reported in the blaze, which was put out by the crews by 2.47pm.

Twitter users had tweeted saying the museum was on fire.
