RESIDENTS, relatives and staff celebrated the first anniversary of a care home with a birthday party.
Wine tasting, pampering sessions, hair and make-up appointments, as well as massages and manicures were on offer at the party for residents of Harry Sotnick House, Buckland, to enjoy.
A singer and karaoke session entertained the crowd, and a balloon sculptor and face painter kept the children happy at the family event.
Gary Briggs, the home’s manager, said: ‘The party went really well.
‘There were lots of people there and everyone who came was really positive and seemed to enjoy it.
‘The residents had a great time which is the main thing.’
The event also celebrated national Dignity in Action Day which took place earlier this month to raise awareness of dementia.
