Sharon Trotter, of Miller Drive, Fareham, said: ‘The rain came so quickly the road drains couldn’t cope, and ended up gushing down a few residents’ driveways.

Luckily no water came into any houses.

‘The drains have now managed to deal with the water in the road and now the road is clear again.

‘However the gardens are still under water at the minute.
