PARTS of Hayling Island have been flooded in the storm.

The main road Sea Front has been flooded, near the Olive Leaf pub.

Resident Jimmy Sandison, 45, said it does not get hit as much.

He said: ‘It generally doesn’t get flooded as bad.

‘Last night was just unreal in terms of wind and the driving rain.

‘I live on the seafront, so I came out of my house, did a right and walked up 100 yards and there it is.

‘I went out with my wife and snapped a few shots.’
