IT was a blooming marvellous day out for all the family at Stansted Park near Havant yesterday.

After an early thunderstorm, the skies cleared and it was a glorious day at Stansted Garden Show.

This is the 19th year of the show, which started with just 30 exhibitors and now has more than 350.

Lizzie Dymock, who organises the show with Jane Sterck, said: ‘It was particularly good for the plants people as they have had a miserable year with the weather.

‘It’s just such a nice occasion for people, with lots of kids racing about.

‘It’s beautiful up here.’

The show continues today and tomorrow from 10am to 5pm.
