HUNDREDS of pounds is hoped to be raised at a charity football match for The Rowans Hospice.

Gemma Russell and her partner Luis Quilter have arranged for an 11-a-side football match to take place on Great Salterns playing fields, on Burrfields Road.

The pair decided to organise the event as Luis’ aunt is currently living at The Rowans Hospice.

Gemma, 25, said: ‘Both teams have a reason to want to raise money for The Rowans.

‘It is a great cause and we cannot speak highly enough of them

‘We go there practically every other day and the work they do is amazing.’

As well as the football match, the day will also have a bouncy castle, sweet kiosk, several food stalls and a raffle.

The match will kick off at 2pm on June 15 with the day starting at 1pm.
