VISITORS to a museum in Portsmouth can take advantage of free entry.

The D-Day Museum, in Southsea, will be opening its doors for free on June 6 to mark the 69th anniversary of D-Day.

Veterans from the local branch of the Normandy Veterans Association will be at the museum answering questions and talking about their experiences.

Visitors can also watch scenes from the Second World War in a re-enactment or sit in on talks. A range of artefacts will also be on show.
