IT HAS been five weeks of action-packed fun but Play Rangers is coming to a close.

Hundreds of children across Fareham and the surrounding areas, aged up to 12, have enjoyed the free outdoor events throughout summer.

The themed activities and range of locations have been different each day so children experienced something new with each visit.

The events, that have been put on by Fareham Borough Council in partnership with Y Services, will end next week.

Executive member of leisure and community Councillor Connie Hockley said: ‘Play Rangers have done a fantastic job this summer bringing free and engaging play opportunities to children across the borough.’

Play Rangers will be outside Portchester Community Centre on Wednesday between 10am and midday and at Stubbington Recreation Ground at 1.30pm until 3.30pm.

On Friday, between 10am and noon, the event is at Bellfield Play Area, in Titchfield, and outside Fareham North West Community Centre at 1.30pm until 3.30pm.
