Medmerry Marshes, in Earnley, Chichester are part of an important flood defence scheme.

Now, a ‘walks and talks’ event, aimed at informing people of the site’s significance, will be held.

The event is being organised by Three Harbours Beef with special guests The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) and Chichester Harbour Conservancy.

Talks from farmers, the RSPB, and the Harbour Conservancy will provide an insight into the area and free walks will be held in the morning and afternoon, starting at 10.30am.

A barbecue will also be held, weather permitting, with Three Harbours beef burgers available for a small
charge.

On-site parking and other facilities are available at Medmerry Park. The event will take place on Sunday, May 31 on the grazing marshes of Medmerry Marshes.
