The two-day event, which takes place in Southampton, will also feature BBC Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong and Chichester-born singer Tom Odell.

It will be held on Southampton Common on May 28 and May 29.

Festival organiser Rob Da Bank said: ‘Common People is all about having some proper moments together as friends and family.

‘Our cast this year to make you dance, sing and generally lose your shizzle include none other than recent Number One album artist, Mr Pete Tong, a legend of the dance and Radio 1 for over a quarter of a century now, and here with a rare outdoor performance of his orchestral wonder Ibiza Dance Classics.’

Other acts performing include indie rock band Wild Beasts and Southsea-born psych-rockers Kassassin Street.

It is the third time the festival will be held in Southampton. Last year a second festival was launched in Oxford.

Tickets are now on sale. More information is available on commonpeople.net.
