Activities included horse riding, a bouncy castle, a circus act with a unicycle and many other items to keep the children entertained.

The Beneficial Foundation was established in 1979 and is a charity based in Anson Road, Fratton which helps vulnerable adults with learning difficulties and disabilities.

Dave Welch works for the charity. He said: ‘It gives them a lot of confidence. We get some people who are at a real low at times and it perks them up a bit – they do really benefit from it.

‘It takes a lot of organising and you get satisfaction out of doing it.’
