HUNGRY visitors enjoyed delicious treats at Waterlooville’s first food and drink festival.

Stalls selling a range of tasty street food were put on in the town centre.

Guests soaked up the sunshine as they enjoyed listening to live music.

Rod Milne, 39, who lives in Waterlooville, had a great time with his son Oliver, three, parents Ron and Wilma and partner Lisa Bartholomew, 39.

‘It’s been a nice day,’ Rod said. ‘The stalls were great and we enjoyed having some of the Peruvian street food. We also had some of the cider.’

Ali Kain, of Shiva Food, enjoyed greeting guests as they feasted their eyes on his range of olives and cheese.

‘It’s nice to see people, and the weather has been good,’ Ali said.

The organiser’s of the event, Michael Wait and Philippa Steward, said that it would have been more of a success if the weather hadn’t been so hot.

‘The people I have spoken to seem to have been happy,’ Philippa said.

‘It’s had a nice atmosphere about it. It’s a shame it hasn’t been bigger.’
