SCORES of visitors discovered the taste of the continent at an Italian-themed day in Southsea.

Fresh pasta and wine were some of the treats served up to people at the event inside The Kings Theatre in Albert Road.

The day was held to celebrate the theatre becoming a twin of another theatre in Fermo, Italy, called Teatro Dell’Aquila.

Live music was supplied by Italian rock’n’roll brothers Ruben and Zagor Camillas, better known as The Camillas.

Italian art exhibitions took place inside the theatre during the event on Sunday, June 10. People also watched a video on the Italian town Fermo.

Kelly Jordan, of Charmaine of Southsea florist shop, in Albert Road, Southsea, attended.

She said: ‘I enjoyed the whole day. It was particularly nice to meet the Italian organisers who chatted to me about all of the food and wine that was on offer.’
