THE sunshine beamed down as hundreds of families got into the community spirit and had some fun at the weekend.
More than 500 people went to St Peter’s Church fete, which was held on the grounds of the Old Vicarage, in Church Street, Titchfield on Saturday.
The church’s puppet group St Peter’s Puppets wowed crowds with a performance while acoustic four-piece jazz band ‘Acoustic Jass’ provided live music for the occasion. A barbecue, a tea tent and face painting were some of the other treats on offer.
All proceeds from the event, which has been running for more than 20 years, went towards the upkeep of the church.
Co-organiser Mike Dalzell, 70, of South Street, Titchfield, said: ‘The response was fantastic and I was relieved about the weather. This year’s fete was the best yet.’
