A TEA party raised £235 for a worthy cause.

Gosport Bowling Club held the event at its clubhouse in Anglesey Gardens on Saturday.

Members took part in a bowling match wearing fancy dress.

The mayor and mayoress of Gosport Councillor John and Christine Beavis judged a competition for the best silly hat which was won by Win Dibley and David Bryant.

President Jack Wilcock said the funds would be going to Gosport And Fareham Inshore Rescue Service.
