CARING teenager Holly Stewart has helped raise more than £1,000 for a worthy cause.

The 17-year-old put on a curry night at The Akash Indian Restaurant, in Albert Road, Southsea, to raise funds for the Caring Cancer Trust.

Holly was inspired to help the charity because it helped gain her confidence back after she went through cancer treatment when she was two. The fundraiser saw staff produce different dishes and a raffle was held. Tickets cost £12 and £3 of that went towards the charity. In total, £1,264 was raised.
