BAG packing in a supermarket raised nearly £300 for Guides group.

The 1st Locks Heath Guides spent the day packing shopping at an Iceland store to raise money for the group.

Jon Whitford, a Scout leader who organised the event, said: ‘We would like to thank all the customers and staff of the Iceland in Locks Heath for its support at our recent bag-packing collection.

‘The group raised an amazing £294 in the hours we were there.’

Half of the money will be used as funds for the group. This will enable more girls to join the Guides group in the area.

The other half of the donations will go to one of the Guides who is raising money to take part in a World Challenge Expedition to Morocco next year.
