A FEMALE electrician is about to put her knowledge to good use – in the jungle.

Sabrina Thomas, from Westbourne, will embark on a 10-week voluntary trip to Borneo, Malaysia, building infrastructure.

The 22-year-old will help build water systems, nursery schools and bridges in remote villages during her stay.

She will pay for her flight and equipment but needs to raise at least £3,000 for the charity Raleigh International which has organised the trip.

To do that she is holding a fundraising evening at The Kings Arms, Emsworth, on Good Friday, April 6.

The main event will be a raffle with prizes such as meals for two at restaurants across the area, hair cuts and even an antique telephone.

Raffle tickets are available now from the pub.
