FRIENDS and family of Kieran Smith, who was found dead after he went missing, are invited to his funeral.

A service will be held at Portchester Crematorium at 11.15am on Monday.

Kieran, 24, went missing from his home in Harcourt Road, in Fareham, on Tuesday, March 10.

Thousands of people helped search for him after his family made an emotional plea for help as they were concerned for his mental health.

His body was found at the bottom of an electricity pylon in Ranvilles Lane on April 8.

Ben Johnson, who knew Kieran - nicknamed Jibba - from school, said: ‘Please come and show your support and say goodbye to our buddy in a way only us lot can. RIP Jibba, let’s give you the biggest send-off possible brother.’

Kieran, a labourer, was a former pupil at Neville Lovett School and Fareham College.
