IT was a sea of summery colour that all the gardeners of Gosport can be proud of.

The annual summer show of the Gosport Allotment Holders’ and Gardeners’ Association was held at St Mary’s Parish Centre, in Green Road, Alverstoke.

Mayor of Gosport, Councillor John Beavis, said: ‘I thought it was splendid.

‘The standard of the exhibits was outstanding.

‘I was amazed to see the quality of both the vegetables and the flowers and all the plants that we there.

‘There were a number of exhibits we were asked to place and choose to win. It was very difficult to choose because they were all so good.’
