ENJOY a stroll around eight gorgeous gardens to raise money for a church and a charity.

The annual Swanmore open gardens event is back this weekend and will see eight gardens open their gates to visitors on Saturday and Sunday from 1pm until 5pm.

The gardens vary from small village gardens to large country house style.

Tickets cost £6 and are free for under-14s, and can be bought from the Paterson Centre next to St Barnabas’ Church, in Swanmore.

The ticket price includes a free hop-on, hop-off minibus provided by the Meon Valley Lions Club and there is free parking opposite the Paterson Centre.

Teas, speciality coffees and home-made cakes are available in the recently-opened Barnaby’s Coffee Shop in the Paterson Centre.

All proceeds will go to St Barnabas’ Church and Swanmore Voluntary Care Group and Lunch Club, a charity that supports the elderly people of Swanmore.
