HUNDREDS of pounds have been collected from shoppers to go towards a charity that helps people with visually impairments.

Volunteers from charity Open Sight spent the day at Sainsbury’s Broadcut, Fareham, and generous shoppers donated £586.

Club chairwoman Linda Phear said the money, collected on May 15, would go towards running costs such as hall rent, transport and entertainment.

Mrs Phear thanked all those who donated.
