PEOPLE are being encouraged to take part in a dancing fundraiser.

Gym Energie Fitness for Women, in Commercial Road, Portsmouth, is holding a day of dancing to raise funds for two causes.

The event takes place on Saturday, December 10, at the Sainsbury’s car park, in Commercial Road, from 11am to 3pm.

Health advice will be given on the day, plus 30-minute sessions of fitness dance classes such as Zumba, Bokwa and belly dancing.

Money will be collected for the gym’s chosen charity, The Eve Appeal, which funds research into gynaecological cancers.

And Sainsbury’s chosen charity the Cystic Fibrosis Kids of Portsmouth group, will also benefit from funds.

Lord Mayor Councillor Cheryl Buggy will be attending, and there will also be performances from dance group Boutique.

Those who want to join in are asked to wear comfortable clothing and sensible shoes.
