BUSINESSES and other organisations are being encouraged to get in the saddle as part of a Portsmouth Cycle Challenge.
The event is part of a national competition and is being co-ordinated in this area by Love to Ride Portsmouth.
The idea is for organisations to get as many of their staff members as possible riding a bike. Those which get the highest percentage of people riding can win prizes including bicycles, cycling gear and a trip to New Zealand.
The challenge takes place from June 8 to June 28 and participants only have to spend 10 minutes on a bike in that time to be counted.
