GREEN-FINGERED residents are being encouraged to take part in an environmentally-friendly scheme.

The Green Neighbours project, which is run by Portsmouth City Council, aims to reduce energy and waste in Paulsgrove and Milton. People will be able to create a bird feeder as part of the project at Portsmouth’s community allotment in Locksway Road, Milton, on January 15 from 1pm to 3pm.

There will also be a talk on sustainable forms of transport at Shaw Trust Horticulture, on the grounds of St James Hospital, on January 22 from 2pm.
