We would like you to get your cameras out and snap away this Saturday to be in with a chance of winning The News’ One Summer’s Day competition.

With a busy bank holiday ahead, there are a lot of events and exciting days out where you can take some fantastic pictures.

Whether you’re relaxing at the beach, (hopefully) soaking up the summer sun in the garden with family, or enjoying the sights of the south with your friends, we want to see it.

You could be spending the day rocking out at the Victorious Festival on Southsea seafront, having a relaxing barbecue or seeing the views while you’re up the Spinnaker Tower.

As long as your shot reflects a typical summer’s day, it will be considered for the prize.

Sarah Standing, images editor at The News, said: ‘We want as many of you to get involved as possible.

‘It doesn’t matter what you’re doing or where you are, just make sure you’ve got your camera or phone with you so you don’t miss the perfect moment.

‘So make sure you’re in with a chance and get your entry in and we will publish some of the best.’

To enter One Summer’s Day, email your pictures to [email protected].

Alternatively you can post them to Ellie Pilmoor, One Summer’s Day, The News, 1000 Lakeside, North Harbour, Western Road, Portsmouth, PO6 3EN.

Only photos taken on Saturday, August 27, will be considered.

Please include your full name, address and daytime contact number, plus a description of what and who is in the picture.
