Get-together for Portsmouth council house residents

REV PAUL CHAMBERLAIN: ‘I’m more offended by poverty than a Greggs’ sausage roll’

Council house residents and leaseholders are invited to a Christmas get-together.

Portsmouth City Council has organised a festive event where people can have a mince pie and cup of tea and find out how they can get involved in their housing service.

Santa will be on hand in his grotto to entertain children and there will also be Christmas crafts for everyone to enjoy.

Sue Edgerley, resident participation manager at the council, said: 'Come along, soak up the festive atmosphere and find out what you can do.'

The event will take place tomorrow at the Navigators Resource Centre, Isambard Brunel Road, Southsea, from 12.30pm to 4pm.
