HELP to improve a historic park is just the touch of a button away.

Havant Borough Council is urging residents to vote for Bidbury Mead Recreation Ground in Bedhampton in a national competition.

The area has been nominated for a national grant scheme, called Transform Your Patch, sponsored by Britvic.

Bidbury Mead is competing for funds against projects across the country.

If successful, £30,000 would be spent on improving a children’s play area.

Councillor David Collins, in charge of environment in Havant, said: ‘I think this is a great opportunity for residents in the borough to vote for a local facility.

‘By voting each day to “Transform Your Patch” residents are helping Bidbury Mead to gain £30,000 of funding to improve this popular area.’
