A 15-YEAR-OLD girl needed to be cut free from a child’s swing.

Firefighters from Havant fire station were called to the incident yesterday evening.

One crew went to Havant Park, Elm Lane, at about 8.15pm. They found a girl aged 15 had become trapped inside a child’s swing.

Watch manager Tim Burgess said: ‘The young girl had climbed into the child’s swing and when she tried to get out, realised she was stuck.

‘We tried dismantling the swing, and when that didn’t work we used a pedal cutter, to cut her free.’

The girl was not injured.
