A GIRL was rescued after getting stuck in a swing.

The 12-year-old climbed into the toddler’s swing at a park near Titchfield Park Road, Fareham.

Her friends dialled 999 after she was unable to free herself and a crew from Fareham fire station arrived at about 7pm on Friday.

The girl had been stuck for about half an hour. Watch manager Dave Higgins said: ‘She was firmly wedged when we arrived. We unbolted the swing and took the base off.’
