Portsmouth pupils triumph with early crop of exam results

The Kings Theatre in Southsea is opening its doors to give people the chance to look behind the scenes and discover its secrets.

Visitors on Saturday from 10am to 4pm will be able to go backstage, see the lighting desk and learn about stage design.

There will also be dance and drama workshops for performers of all ages and tours of the Edwardian playhouse.

Workshops include Kings Youth Theatre for juniors and seniors, dance workshops including family street dance, musical theatre for kids, Zippos Circus showcase, stage design, stage make up, dressing up, puppetry and drama for adults.

Tickets cost 2 in advance and 3 on the day.

A family ticket costs 8 in advance and 10 on the day.
