GENEROUS members of the public helped raise hundreds of pounds for the lifesavers of the sea.

The Havant and Waterlooville branch of the RNLI held collections in the two towns.

The collection, on July 5, raised £699.96 for the charity. Christine Norman, the branch secretary said: ‘We’re most grateful to all those who gave so generously, and to those who gave their time to collect.’
