THE challenge of eating your five-a-day will be eased with a new fruit and vegetable box scheme.

Rowner Community Trust based in the Nimrod Community Centre, in Nimrod Drive, Gosport, will allow residents to order fruit and vegetables to help keep a healthy diet.

The scheme will offer small, medium and large boxes of healthy goods at a cost of £3, £5 or £7.50, and will start on January 8.

The food will be ordered from a local supplier and the Trust will not make a profit on the sales.

The scheme comes after a successful year for the Trust which ended with the Christmas Fair on December 15. The boxes will be available for pick up every Tuesday 10.30am-2.30pm.

Call the Trust on 07564074400 or email rownerveggieboxes@gmail.com to order.
