MP CAROLINE Dinenage has paid tribute to everyone who died in the Holocaust ahead of a memorial day.

The Gosport representative put her signature in the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Book of Commitment in the House of Commons.

It comes as next Wednesday marks Holocaust Memorial Day, an event for the liberation of the Nazi concentration and death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau.

Ms Dinenage, who visited the site with Bay House School shortly after becoming an MP, said: ‘It is as important as ever to remember the victims and survivors of the Holocaust and ensure that they are never forgotten.

‘I encourage all local people to mark the day and join together in the fight against prejudice and intolerance.’
