REGULARS of a snooker club helped raised thousands of pounds for a sea rescue charity.

Members of Stoke Snooker Club in Gosport made it their mission to collect as much cash over a year for the charity Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service (Gafirs).

After 12 months of fundraising they presented the service with a cheque for a massive £2233.69.

Club owner Dave Norman said: ‘From all at Stoke Snooker Club, a big thank you to everyone who contributed to an excellent charity.’

The club has chosen to raise money for the Gosport Submariners Association over the next year.
