PART of a splash park has been closed so new play equipment can be installed.

The work at the park in Stokes Bay, Gosport, has seen the dry-side closed. The wet-side of the park remains open.

Gosport Borough Council is installing an ability whirl roundabout, a toddler swing and springers.

The installation is due to be finished in time for the school holidays.

Councillor Graham Burgesss, chair of the community board, said: ‘The Splash Park has been incredibly popular since we opened it last summer and we aim to ensure that it remains that way.’
