A SUPERMARKET in Gosport has raised £187 for a group of charities across the country.

Staff at Asda, in Cranbourne Industrial Estate, Dock Road, Gosport, along with staff from Gosport Borough Council, packed shoppers’ bags to raise the cash for ITV’s Text Santa charities group on Thursday.

The group includes Age UK, Anthony Nolan, Carers UK, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Together for Short Lives and Whizz-Kidz.

The store is also collecting presents for a local domestic abuse charity, Fareham and Gosport Family Aid.
