HE HAS just set a world record but the real challenge starts tomorrow.
Dmitri Galitzine created his own small piece of history today by paddling the fastest 100m in an unmodified pumpkin.
The artist, from London, set the record at Trafalgar Wharf, in Portchester, by paddling the distance in two minutes flat.
But the real challenge is tomorrow as Dmitri plans to sail from Stokes Bay, in Gosport, to the Isle of Wight in another pumpkin - this one housed on a modified boat.
He said: ‘I am really happy with my time but I am still nervous about tomorrow.
‘It will be harder on the open waters but I am happy to have set a world record.’
