GET ready in your Dickensian garb and go along to a ball with style.

A Dickens Ball is being hosted at the Groundlings Theatre and people are invited to come and party in the style of the 1800s.

Those who do not have anything suitable to wear can borrow costumes from the theatre, in Kent Street, Portsea.

People will be entertained by the Regency Dancers and a two-course meal will be served at 5.30pm, before the ball starts at 8pm.

The event takes place on Monday, February 6, and tickets cost £28 or £25 for concessions, which covers costume hire, dinner and entry to the ball.
