NEW kits will be provided for a girls football team thanks to a grant from the local community fund.
Whiteley Wanderers Football Club has been awarded £600 to purchase 16 new football kits for the newly-formed girls’ team.
Councillor Sean Woodward, leader of Fareham Borough Council, said: ‘The team has been established in the last three months and is a real success story within the local football community.
‘The money awarded from the community fund will help the team purchase new kits.’
The club has been awarded the Charter Development Club Standard by the FA which recognises the standard of the facilities and coaching team.
