FUNDING has been given to keep free summer activities going for another year.

Fareham and Winchester Community Safety Partnerships have been granted funding from the Police and Crime Commissioner to deliver Access All Areas 2015.

The free summer events will be open to 11 to 17-year-olds and will have a range of activities from rugby to archery and DJ skills to cake decorating.

Free bus travel is being provided by First Bus so that young people can travel to and from the venues free of charge.

Chairman of the Fareham Community Safety Partnership, Cllr Trevor Cartwright said: ‘Access All Areas is a fantastic programme as it is engaging for young people.

‘They can have fun, make friends, and enjoy themselves in a safe environment.

‘I’d encourage as many young people as possible to take part.’

Last year’s events showed a 12 per cent reduction in anti-social behaviour around Fareham compared to same time the year before.
