A MEMBER of the Grease stageshow shaved his head to raise £645 for Fareham-based charity the Rainbow Centre.

Stage manager Wayne Fenton was inspired to chop off his locks after listening to fellow cast member Kate Somerset How, who plays Rizzo, talk on stage at the Kings Theatre, Southsea.

Kate, 29, is the daughter of Helen Somerset How, co-founder of the Rainbow Centre.

Kate said: ‘I am very close to the Rainbow Centre, so I know how amazing it is. I was very touched that Wayne had listened to my story and was inspired.’

Wayne, 43, from Cosham, had long hair for nearly three years. He said: ‘After listening to Kate, I thought that the Rainbow Centre sounded like a fantastic place and I really wanted to help.’
