ST JOHN Ambulance is £10,000 better off following a garden party.

The annual Bishop’s Waltham Garden Fair attracted more than 2,000 visitors and raised the whopping total for the charity’s Hampshire region.

The popular fair, held in the Bishop’s Waltham Palace grounds, featured 60 stalls including a popular children’s corner, free gardening advice, food and birds of prey demonstrations.

Michelle Dobson, county fundraiser for the charity, said: ‘There was something for everyone and we’ve had some great feedback from visitors.

‘More importantly a significant amount of money was raised that will go towards helping St John Ambulance in local communities.’
