MORE than 150 motorcyclists were killed or seriously injured on Hampshire’s roads last year, it has been revealed.

Hampshire County Council, which manages highways, said 158 people were involved in fatal or serious incidents last year. The figure for 2014 was 178.

Councillor Rob Humby, who is in charge of highways, said: ‘Of all road users, motorcyclists are statistically the most at risk.

‘We can all help to reduce the risk by taking longer to look for motorbikes at junctions, or when changing lanes.’

A ‘Think Bike, Think Biker’ campaign has been launched.
