FOOTBALLERS have the chance to bring out their inner Ian Rush by taking part in a charity five-a-side Movember tournament.
Goals Portsmouth, in Tangier Road, Copnor, is holding the tournament on November 25 at 3pm to raise money and awareness for prostate and testicular cancer.
The fundraising month, called Movember, sees men across the world grow moustaches. It raised more than £79m last year.
Entry is £40 per team and players will receive a complimentary grooming kit from Gillette.
Winners for the tournament will be entered into a national prize draw to win a trip to Copenhagen to play against a Danish five-a-side team.
Centre manager Dan Homer said: ‘Our Movember tournament will be a lot of fun, but with a serious message at the heart of it. We hope to have as many “Mos” as possible taking part in the tournament and to raise lots of money for this great cause.
‘For those who are unable to grow their own, we’ll even provide you with a temporary one for £2 with all the proceeds going to the charity.’
